Virtually pediatricians and baby nutrition specialists highly advise breast milk for newborns up to two years old of age. Breast milk is the favored choice and nature’s most excellent food for infants because it contains specific ingredients that are needed by the infant to grow strong and smart.

But what if the mother can’t produce breast milk or is not comfortable with breastfeeding; will the baby just starve to death? In cases like this, it is best to provide your newborn with the right milk supplement that mimics the assortment of nutrients found in mom’s milk. Look over at this best organic baby formula catalog.

In today’s day and age, technology and science assists numerous milk companies in developing various milk supplements for every infant’s needs.

There are basically three class of supplements: regular cow’s milk, soy milk, and organic milk supplements. As the name itself implies, regular cow’s milk supplement comes from cow’s milk, soy milk formulas start with soy beans but pure milk supplement comes organically raised cow’s milk.

When choosing milk supplements over breast milk, consider your infant’s age, health and dietary needs. Also consider the cost and preparation time of the milk supplement.

For most infants regular milk supplements are fine but with newborn that have lactose sensitivities, it is best that you offer him soy milk supplements. While regular and soy milk supplements are nourishing, most parents opt for organic milk supplement because they are 100% natural.

In preparing baby’s milk, one should always wash their hands. Also, check that all apparatus and equipments are suitably sterilized. Do dispose any of the formula left in the baby’s used bottles, these may trigger germs that are dangerous for the infant.

When selecting the right baby formula for your newborn, ask your pediatrician for opinion.
