Desiccated Thyroid Vs. Raw Thyroid – Which Is Better?
Desiccated thyroid includes thyroxine, along with triiodothyronine, the active thyroid hormone that is generally known as T3. It also includes other thyroid hormones found in an actual gland, such as T1 and T2. Desiccated thyroid is given when the thyroid will not produce enough of this hormone on its own.
