Espresso makers – Enjoy your Favorite Espresso at Home
No one seems to have time for anything lately. Busy, busy, busy – everyone is too busy. But, thanks to some ingenious Italians, we can now carry our own espresso on the way to work. The first batch of Italian espresso coffee makers started to be made in 1901 and this started the planet’s love affair with this wonderful – nay –perfect cup of coffee. If you spend all day in a local coffee emporium, you might want to consider investing in a home espresso maker. This way you can have home made, high quality espresso on tap any time of the day or night. And this espresso machine is always open.
There are umpteenth number of local coffee emporiums and chains that regularly churn out gallons and gallons of coffees, lattes, cappuccinos and espressos. But of recent times more and more people want to make their own espressos in the confines of their home to save both time and money.
The companies that make espresso machines tend to be boutique smaller companies – unless they are based in the US, in which case perhaps not so much, but they all have one thing in common. They offer a wide range of models and prices to suit almost any pocket. There are of course wide variations in quality also, but there is a model to suit every pocket and need.
People interested in procuring a home use espresso machine can choose a size from a small, tucked in machine to a big flamboyant espresso coffee machine. The power input of the machines can be compared to select the most efficient model; the amount of ingredients used and number of cups of espresso produced is another factor buyers consider. Next they can choose from completely manually operated models to automatic ones.
The original models were steam driven and these are still available. Although there are also two other types available using either lever or a pump to increase pressure.
The basic principle in all model types remains the same, in that a head of steam is built up and forced through coffee grounds. The method of pressurizing the liquid varies depending on the type of machine. The basic models use steam pressure; the piston model uses a piston to build the pressure and the pump models use an electric pump to make an espresso.
There are many companies which manufacture espresso machines. Some of them are – the Conti of Monte Carlo and Briel of Portugal. They all manufacture a range of espresso machines to cater to hotels, restaurants, offices, commercial spaces and homes. But let’s face it – every one loves an Italian espresso machine.
Espresso machine manufacturers are wirking around the clock to turn out machines capable of producing this wonderful thick concentrated coffee taste. Its bitter-sweet taste adds a rich special-ness to day top day life. It is probably in the company of an espresso that one can find a moment of tranquility in the planet that never seems to slow down for a moment.
