Instant Online Approval Credit Cards – Why Instant Can Sometimes Take Time

June 27th, 2009

Instant online approval credit cards represent tremendous convenience, negating the need to trudge up and down the high street or make endless phone calls to sales representatives. But it is important to remember that whilst being able to receive approval instantly online, you don’t have to rush.

In fact, the only aspect of the process which should be quick or instant is the approval, because it is important for you to make quite sure that you are receiving the best possible deal. If your credit history is less than brilliant you may find yourself grateful to be approved at all, and rushing into accepting an offer without really investigating fully. It’s important to do your research first, and look at the rates and fees which will apply.

Don’t forget to consider the long term rates, and not just the concessionary introductory rates which are the most obvious figures on display. Once you have shopped around, then you can submit an application for one of the many instant online approval credit cards. However, be aware that if your approval is not immediate, this doesn’t necessarily mean you have been declined, only that an underwriter may need to take a look at it in person.

By applying elsewhere for other instant online approval credit cards you could end up with multiple applications that could harm your credit score. One you have received your approval, take time to have another look at exactly what you’re getting, and what alternatives might be available, before signing the form and committing yourself fully. Nothing is definite until you have signed the form.
