Removing Acne Scars

October 23rd, 2009

Acne Scars occur when acne becomes infected and the skin heals itself enough to remain healthy but unfortunately leaves discoloured and / or indented marks on the skin, they [are often to get rid of.

bought] [in a shop ranging from oils and creams to micro-needling. The most [regularly which can (but not always) work but take a long time for any results to begin to show as a huge percentage of creams are not absorbed by the skin. Therefore creams are often wasted and so are not economical.

Another product that can be bought for acne scar removal is the derma roller. This is a tool for micro needling; you simply roll the collagen roller over the effected area of skin opening the pores of your epidermis causing it to believe that it is injured inducing the production of collagen and elastin which resulting in the damaged skin healing itself.

After using the derma roller the pores on the top layer of skin (epidermis) are open for up to an hour so this is the best time to use creams as they are much better absorbed when the pores are open as opposed to when the pores are closed. This reduces the waste in creams and increases the effectiveness of the derma roller.

There are more extreme methods to remove acne scars however these are all expensive and have to be carried out by professionals and then they’re not even guaranteed to work! These include; Micro dermabrasion, laser treatments, chemical peals and also skin needling can be done by a professional more vigorously using a longer needle size and numbing cream.
